Water Polo Teams

Men’s water polo has a long and rich history in the city of Sheffield going back many many years –with records showing a successful team way back in the early 1900’s! Indeed, back in 1962 Sheffield Dolphins were one of the founder members of the National league –now BWPL. We have a long history of producing International players and have had players representing all 4 home Nations as well as Great Britain and world student games selections. The club currently operates two senior teams –the A team operating at the highest level of BWPL division 1 and Super 5, with the youngsters of the B team playing in Division 4. The team /club also has close ties with Sheffield Hallam University. Both teams train twice a week out of the magnificent Ponds Forge International pool under the guidance of head coach Martin Kelly.
